RUC School of Global Governance assisted in the organization of the "2022 China International Public Procurement Forum"
Time: November 18, 2022The China International Public Procurement Forum was successfully held in Beijing from November 7th to 9th, 2022. It is one of the important supporting activities of the China International Import Expo and was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.
Mr. Xu Hongcai, Vice Minister of Finance, and Mr. Wu Qing, Member of the Standing Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Shanghai, as well as officials from the World Trade Organization, the World Bank, the United Nations resident system in China, foreign government embassies and consulates in China, and other relevant institutions and departments attended the forum. They exchanged views on public procurement policies and practices and discussed the future of sharing the public procurement market, aiming to build a government procurement platform.
During the preparation and convening of the forum, RUC School of Global Governance provided active support for the conference affairs and selected Ma Ruizhenzhen, a master's student from the School of Literature (Class of 2021), and Chen Rui, a master's student from the School of Foreign Languages (Class of 2021), to serve as volunteers for the forum. During the preparation and convening of the forum, Ma Ruizhenzhen, as the volunteer team leader, coordinated the overall planning of the team's work, and led all volunteers to successfully complete the conference affairs.
The two students were responsible for liaising with foreign representatives from several institutions, including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, New Development Bank, UNICEF China Office, and the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Shanghai. They provided strong support in the collection and organization of conference materials, information retrieval, and communication, for which they received a thank-you letter from the Ministry of Finance.
